Growing up in an Italian household, I know the lovely aromas
and tastes of Italian cooking. As a child, one of my favorite
ways to spend a day was helping my mother in the kitchen baking.
My grandmother and her good friend would make biscotti every week
and their children would sit around and enjoy them warm out of
the oven with hot chocolate. I want to share grandmother’s
wonderful biscotti tradition with you. My greatest wish is that
she would be proud of my product and service—and carrying
on in her tradition of biscotti baking. I believe she’s
smiling down on me.
We offer our biscotti to you as a lower-fat, lower
calorie alternative to gourmet cookies. They are fantastic in the
traditional sense of dipping into coffee or tea (or hot
chocolate, hot cider, expresso). Italians also dip them into
sweet dessert wines. My kids love to dunk their biscotti into a
tall glass of cold milk.
Our baking is done in our commercial kitchen, but the
technique is still as it has been done for
centuries—hand-made, hand-cut and twice-baked. We use only
the finest, freshest ingredients available.
